اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision, and acceptable deeds.
*Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman nafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan*
When to Read
This dua is recommended to be recited in the morning, immediately after Fajr prayer, as part of the Prophet's (peace be upon him) daily remembrance (adhkar). It sets a positive intention for the day, seeking Allah's help in acquiring knowledge that benefits oneself and others, earning a pure livelihood, and performing actions that are accepted by Him.
How to Read
Recite this dua with sincerity and conviction. Focus on the meaning of each request, visualizing the pursuit of knowledge, the blessings in your sustenance, and the dedication to righteous actions. It's best recited with your hands raised, as was the practice of the Prophet (peace be upon him) when making supplication.
Virtues & Benefits
This dua encompasses profound requests for the believer's well-being in this life and the next. Beneficial knowledge guides us to do what is right and avoid what is wrong. Goodly provision is sustenance that is pure and free from unlawful earnings. Acceptable deeds are those performed sincerely for Allah's sake, according to His commands. By asking for these three things, a person aligns their day with seeking Allah's pleasure and guidance, which inherently provides strength and courage to speak truth, stand for justice, and live a life pleasing to the Creator. The acceptance of deeds, in particular, is a great source of courage as it assures one that their efforts are valued by Allah.

Narrated by Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (peace be upon him) performed the morning prayer, he would say: 'Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman nafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan.' (O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision, and acceptable deeds.)
