We have entered the morning, and all sovereignty belongs to Allah. All praise is due to Allah. There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, alone, without any partners. O my Lord, I ask You for the good of this day and the good of what comes after it, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of this day and the evil of what comes after it. O my Lord, I seek refuge in You from laziness and the evil of old age. O my Lord, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the Fire and the punishment of the grave.

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah that when the Prophet (ﷺ) woke up, he would say: 'Asbahna wa asbahal mulku lillah, walhamdulillahi, la ilaha illallah wahdahu la shareeka lah. Rabbi as'aluka khaira hadhal yawmi wa khaira ma ba'dahu, wa a'udhu bika min sharri hadhal yawmi wa sharri ma ba'dahu. Rabbi a'udhu bika minal kasali wa su'il kibr. Rabbi a'udhu bika min 'adhabin fin nari wa 'adhabin fil qabr.' And when he went to sleep, he would say: 'Allahumma Rabbassamaawati wa Rabbil ardi, Rabbil 'arshil 'adheem. Rabbana wa Rabba kulli shay'in, Faliqul habbi wan-nawa, wa munzilat Tawrata wal-Injil wal Furqan. A'udhu bika min sharri kulli shay'in anta akhidhun binasiyatih. Allahumma antal Awwalu falaisa qablaka shay'un, wa antal Akhiru falaisa ba'daka shay'un, wa antal Dhahir falaisa fawqaka shay'un, wa antal Batin falaisa dunaka shay'un. Iqdi 'annid dayna wa aghnini minal faqri.' (O Allah, Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth, Lord of the mighty Throne. Our Lord and Lord of all things, the Cleaver of the seed and the date-stone, the Revealer of the Tawrah and the Injeel and the Furqan. I seek refuge in You from the evil of all things which You are holding the forelock of. O Allah, You are the First, and there is nothing before You; You are the Last, and there is nothing after You; You are the Most Evident, and there is nothing above You; You are the Most Hidden, and there is nothing beneath You. Settle our debts for us and enrich us from poverty.)
