This powerful dua is recommended to be recited in the morning, after the Fajr prayer. It's a beautiful way to start your day, entrusting your well-being to Allah Ta'ala before the world fully awakens. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught this to his companions as a means of seeking Allah's protection and good health for the entire day ahead.

How to Read

Recite this dua with sincerity and a clear intention of seeking Allah's protection and health. Focus on the meaning of each phrase as you utter it. Say it with conviction, knowing that the one who has the power to preserve and protect is Allah alone.

Virtues & Benefits

This supplication is a comprehensive request for overall well-being. By asking for health in the body, hearing, and sight, we are encompassing the major faculties that allow us to function and experience life. Seeking health is a wise investment in this life and the hereafter, as a healthy body allows us to worship Allah better and perform good deeds. The repetition and the final affirmation, 'La ilaha illa anta' (There is no god but You), emphasizes our complete reliance on Allah for all blessings, including health. It's a direct plea to the Creator who has absolute control over our well-being.
