اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, pure provisions, and accepted deeds.
Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman nafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan
When to Read
This dua is specifically recommended to be recited in the morning, after the Fajr prayer, as it captures the essence of seeking Allah's blessings for the entire day ahead. It sets a positive intention for seeking what is good and permissible in all aspects of life, including the well-being of one's family.
How to Read
Recite this dua with sincerity and focus after completing the morning prayers. It is ideal to raise your hands slightly while supplicating, as is the custom when making dua. Reflect on the meaning of each phrase, asking Allah to grant you knowledge that benefits yourself and others, sustenance that is lawful and good, and deeds that are accepted by Him.
Virtues & Benefits
This powerful morning supplication encompasses seeking three crucial elements for a blessed life: beneficial knowledge which guides one's actions, pure provisions which sustain the body and soul, and accepted deeds which bring one closer to Allah. By asking for these, we are implicitly seeking a life pleasing to our Creator, which includes the well-being and righteousness of our spouses and children. A righteous family is one of the greatest blessings Allah bestows, and this dua, by seeking His acceptance of our deeds and purity in our provisions, lays the groundwork for a family that thrives on these divine principles. The acceptance of deeds is key, as it means our efforts in raising a righteous family are acknowledged and rewarded by Allah.

Narrated by Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) when he said the morning prayer, he would say: 'Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman nafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan.' (O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, pure provisions, and accepted deeds.)
