اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision, and acceptable deeds.
Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman naafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan
When to Read
This powerful supplication is recited immediately after the Fajr (dawn) prayer, as part of the morning remembrance (adhkar). It's a beautiful way to start your day, asking Allah for blessings in what truly matters.
How to Read
Recite this dua with sincerity and a hopeful heart after finishing your Fajr prayer. It's recommended to say it while facing the Qiblah, though the primary focus is on the intention and the words. Raise your hands slightly if you feel inclined, as is common practice in supplication.
Virtues & Benefits
This dua encompasses three fundamental aspects of a fulfilling life: 'ilman naafi'an' (beneficial knowledge) which guides us and increases our understanding of deen and dunya; 'rizqan tayyiban' (goodly provision) which means sustenance that is pure, lawful, and satisfying, bringing contentment; and 'amalan mutaqabbalan' (acceptable deeds) which are acts of worship and good deeds that are accepted by Allah, leading to reward in this life and the hereafter. By asking for these, we are essentially asking Allah to bless our entire day and our efforts with goodness and acceptance.

Narrated by Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her): The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to say, when he finished the morning prayer, 'Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman naafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan.' (Sunan Ibn Majah 925, graded Hasan by many scholars)
