Narrated Hudhaifa: Whenever the Prophet (ﷺ) got up for night prayer, he used to say: 'Allah is the Greatest! O Allah, Lord of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the seen, Lord of everything and its Granter of life, I ask You for the good of this night's work and the good of what comes after it, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of this night and the evil of what comes after it. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from laziness and evil old age. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from torment in the Fire and punishment in the grave.' And when he woke up from sleep, he used to say: 'All praise is due to Allah, who gave us life after death, and to Him is the return.' (Sahih al-Bukhari 6306)
