How to Read
Recite this dua with sincerity and reflection. Start with the Basmala ('Bismillah') to invoke Allah's name before you speak. As you say the dua, be mindful of its meaning: recognizing that all beauty and perfection come from Allah, and asking Him to grant you good character in return, balancing outward appearance with inward grace.
Virtues & Benefits
This dua teaches us a profound lesson in humility and gratitude. By attributing our good appearance to Allah, we acknowledge His blessings. Narrated Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) often used to seek refuge in Allah by saying: 'O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of my hearing, from the evil of my sight, from the evil of my tongue, from the evil of my heart, and from the evil of my desires.' He also used to say: 'O Allah, just as You have made my form beautiful, so make my character beautiful.' (Musnad Ahmad 22340 - Hasan).
