Narrated Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to supplicate: 'Allahumma, I seek refuge in You from the hardship of encountering severe calamity, from having a dreadful fate, from having an evil decree, and from the excessive, malicious joy of enemies. Allahumma, I seek refuge in You from the distress of life and the sting of death. Allahumma, I seek refuge in You from the torment of the grave, from the torment of the Hellfire, and from the evil of affairs. Allahumma, make my outward appearance beautiful and make my character beautiful, and do not make my heart a source of trial for others. And seek refuge in You from the evil of the Day of Judgment.'
