Loneliness & Isolation
Sahih HadithSahih Muslim 753

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا

O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and accepted deeds.

Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman nafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan

When to Read

This dua is particularly powerful when you find yourself in solitude, whether by choice or circumstance. It's ideal during quiet moments of reflection, perhaps in the early morning before the day begins, or in the stillness of the night. Use it when you feel the need to recenter, to reconnect with yourself and your purpose, and to turn that quiet time into a period of profound spiritual growth and self-discovery.

How to Read

Recite this dua with sincerity and conviction, focusing on each word and its meaning. Raise your hands, as is customary when making dua, and pour your heart out to Allah. Visualize the beneficial knowledge, pure sustenance, and accepted deeds you are asking for. Let the solitude amplify your focus, making this a deeply personal and attentive supplication.

Virtues & Benefits

This comprehensive dua, taught by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ himself, covers essential aspects of a believer's life. Asking for 'beneficial knowledge' (ʿilman nāfiʿan) helps in understanding Allah's creation and guidance, leading to sound judgment and righteous action. 'Good provision' (rizqan ṭayyiban) encompasses not just wealth, but also health, family, and peace of mind, all Halal and pure. And seeking 'accepted deeds' (ʿamalan mutaqabbalan) is the ultimate goal, as our actions are only valuable if accepted by Allah. When made during solitude, this dua can help you align your personal journey with these core desires, fostering growth that is both worldly beneficial and divinely accepted.
