O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is forever executed. Your judgment on me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any of Your creation, or which You have kept exclusively to Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen, that You make the Quran the spring of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the remover of my anxieties.
Allahumma inni 'abdak, ibnu 'abdik, ibnu amatik, nasiyati biyadika, madin fiyya h_ukmuk, 'adlun fiyya qada'uk. As'aluka bikulli ismin huwa lak, sammayta bihi nafsak, aw anzaltahu fi kitabik, aw 'allamtahu ah_adan min khalqik, aw ista'tharta bihi fi 'ilm il-ghaybi 'indak, an taj'ala al-Qur'ana rabi'a qalbi, wa nura sadri, wa jila'a huzni, wa dhah_aba hammi.
