Allahumma ikfini bihalalika 'an haramika, wa aghnini bifadlika 'amman siwak

When to Read

This dua is particularly powerful when feelings of loneliness or isolation creep in. It's a way to reconnect with Allah and His Messenger ﷺ, reminding us that true companionship and fulfillment come from Him. Recite it when you feel disconnected from others or when worldly concerns weigh you down, turning your heart towards the ultimate Source of solace.

How to Read

Recite this dua with sincerity and a focused heart. Imagine turning to Allah, the ultimate companion, seeking His support and sufficiency. This dua encourages reliance on Allah and His blessings, transforming feelings of emptiness into a powerful connection with the Divine and the legacy of the Prophet ﷺ. While there isn't a specific prescribed number of times, making it a regular part of your supplications, especially during moments of solitude, can bring profound comfort.

Virtues & Benefits

This beautiful supplication addresses a core aspect of human need: security and freedom from dependence. By asking Allah to suffice us with His lawful provisions, we are seeking His blessing in our sustenance and protection from unlawful means that can lead to distress. The second part, 'enrich me by Your grace, so that I shall not need anyone other than You,' is a profound expression of *tawakkul* (reliance on Allah). It helps shift our focus from the transient company of creation to the eternal presence and support of the Creator. When we feel alone, remembering that Allah is sufficient for us, and that His Messenger ﷺ has taught us such encompassing duas, can bring immense solace and a sense of belonging within the larger Ummah and the divine plan.
