Al-Hasan ibn Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) taught me some words to say during Witr: > **Arabic:** اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِنَا فِيمَنْ هَدَيْتَ وَعَافِنَا فِيمَنْ عَافَيْتَ وَتَوَلَّنَا فِيمَنْ تَوَلَّيْتَ وَبَارِكْ لَنَا فِيمَا أَعْطَيْتَ وَقِنَا شَرَّ مَا قَضَيْتَ إِنَّكَ تَقْضِي وَلاَ يُقْضَى عَلَيْكَ وَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَذِلُّ مَنْ وَالَيْتَ وَلاَ يَعِزُّ مَنْ عَادَيْتَ تَبَارَكْتَ رَبَّنَا وَتَعَالَيْتَ اللَّهُمَّ أَلِّفْ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِنَا وَأَصْلِحْ ذَاتَ بَيْنِنَا وَاهْدِنَا سُبُلَ السَّلاَمِ وَنَجِّنَا مِنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ وَجَنِّبْنَا الْفَوَاحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَنَا فِي أَسْمَاعِنَا وَأَبْصَارِنَا وَقُلُوبِنَا وَأَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا وَتُبْ عَلَيْنَا إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ وَاجْعَلْنَا شَاكِرِينَ لِنِعْمَتِكَ مُثْنِينَ بِهَا قَابِلِينَ لَهَا وَأَتِمَّهَا عَلَيْنَا > **Translation:** "O Allah, guide me among those whom You have guided, and grant me well-being among those whom You have granted well-being, and take me into Your care among those whom You have taken into Your care, and bless me in what You have given me, and protect me from the evil that You have decreed. For verily You decree, and none can decree against You. And verily he whom You take into Your care shall not be abased, and he whom You take as an enemy shall not be honored. Blessed are You, O our Lord, and Exalted. **O Allah, unite our hearts, and set right our mutual affairs,** and guide us to the paths of peace, and deliver us from darkness into light, and keep us away from indecencies, apparent and hidden. O Allah, bless us in our hearing, our sight, our hearts, our spouses, and our offspring. And accept our repentance. Verily, You are the Oft-Pardoning, the Most Merciful. And make us grateful for Your blessings, praising them, accepting them, and perfecting them for us." — Sunan Abi Dawud 969
