This beautiful and concise dua is recited when you are leaving the Masjid (mosque). It’s a moment where we transition from a state of worship and closeness to Allah back into the world. How to Read

This dua is short and straightforward. Upon exiting the Masjid, facing the direction you are leaving, recite it with sincerity and a hopeful heart. The key is the intention behind it – recognizing that all good comes from Allah and asking Him to grant us from His immense grace and provision as we go about our day.

Virtues & Benefits

Reciting this dua is a beautiful way to extend the barakah (blessings) of being in Allah's house. It teaches us reliance on Allah for our sustenance and success in all endeavors. By asking for His bounty, we acknowledge that our efforts are only fruitful through His permission. It's a reminder that the spiritual benefits gained inside the mosque can and should permeate our lives outside.

Source & Authentication

Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When one of you leaves the Masjid, let him say: 'Allahumma inni as'aluka min fadlik.' (O Allah, I ask You from Your bounty). For indeed, when he asks for His bounty, he will be given it in the part he asks for his need."
