اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ
O Allah, I ask You of Your bounty.
Allahumma inni as'aluka min fadlik
When to Read
This beautiful, concise dua is recited as one leaves the Masjid, after completing their prayers. It’s a moment of transition, moving from the sacred space of worship back into the world. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us to make this supplication as we step out, seeking Allah's continued favor and provision as we re-enter our daily lives.
How to Read
Recite this dua with sincerity as you are exiting the Masjid, preferably after finishing your prayers and any personal supplications or remembrance (dhikr). It's meant to be a gentle turning point, asking Allah to bless your departure and the path ahead. Utter it with a humble heart, acknowledging that all good comes from Him.
Virtues & Benefits
This dua carries profound meaning. By asking for Allah's bounty, we are essentially seeking His continued blessings, protection, and provision as we leave the house of Allah and re-engage with the world. It reminds us that our connection to Allah isn't confined to the Masjid; it extends to every aspect of our lives. It's a way of asking Allah to open doors of goodness and keep us away from harm as we face the challenges and opportunities outside the Masjid's walls. The act itself is a Sunnah, following the beloved example of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, which in turn brings its own immense reward.
