بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ، وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ
In the name of Allah, I rely on Allah. And there is no might nor power except with Allah.
Bismillahi, tawakkaltu 'alallahi, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah
When to Read
Recite this dua immediately after leaving the Masjid with the intention of attending to your worldly needs, errands, or work. It's a beautiful way to transition from worship to your daily responsibilities, carrying the blessings of the Masjid with you.
How to Read
As you step out of the Masjid doors, pause for a moment. Say this dua sincerely, with the understanding that all your actions and movements are by Allah's permission. It's a declaration of reliance on Him as you go about your day.
Virtues & Benefits
This powerful dua ensures Allah's protection and guidance as you leave the sacred space of the Masjid. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that when a person recites this upon leaving their home (and by extension, the Masjid, when transitioning to their needs), it is said to them: 'You are guided, you are defended, and you are made independent of need.' This means Allah will guide you to what is right, defend you from harm, and suffice you in your needs. It transforms a simple act of leaving into an act of seeking divine support for your endeavors.
Source & Authentication
Narrated Anas: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'When a person leaves his house and says: 'Bismillahi, tawakkaltu 'alallahi, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah' (In the name of Allah, I rely on Allah, and there is no might nor power except with Allah), it will be said to him at that time: 'You are guided, defended and taken care of.' So, the devil will stand away from him and (another) devil will say to him: 'What can you do to a man who is guided, defended and taken care of?'
