Allahumma inni as'aluka min fadlik

When to Read

This dua is recommended to be recited upon exiting the Masjid. It's a beautiful way to transition from the state of worship and reflection within the mosque back into the world, asking Allah to bless your endeavors outside its walls.

How to Read

Recite this dua as you are physically leaving the mosque. It's generally recommended to exit with your left foot first, turning your body slightly towards the Qiblah as you say it, seeking Allah's grace. The intention behind it is key – a sincere plea for His favors.

Virtues & Benefits

When we leave the Masjid, we are stepping back into our daily lives, which are often filled with interactions and activities that can test our faith. By asking Allah for His bounty, we're essentially asking Him to grant us success, guidance, and provision in a way that is pleasing to Him. It acknowledges that all good things come from Allah, even the opportunities and sustenance we encounter outside the mosque. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ himself taught specific duas for entering and exiting the Masjid, highlighting the importance of seeking Allah's protection and blessings at these transition points. This particular dua, 'Allahumma inni as'aluka min fadlik,' is a concise yet profound request for continued divine favor.

Source & Authentication
