Allahumma inni as'aluka min fadlik
When to Read
This dua is recited when leaving the Masjid. After completing your prayer and performing any personal supplications within the Masjid, as you prepare to exit, this is the Sunnah practice.
How to Read
Recite this sincerely with the intention of seeking Allah's favor. It is recommended to step out with your left foot first, just as you enter with your right foot. This dua is a humble request, acknowledging that all blessings come from Allah's immense grace.
Virtues & Benefits
This simple yet profound dua encapsulates a comprehensive request. By asking for 'fadl' (bounty/grace), we are not just asking for material things but for all the good that Allah has destined for us in this life – provision, well-being, success – and the ultimate, eternal bliss of the Hereafter. It reminds us that even as we leave the house of Allah, our reliance remains solely on Him and His boundless generosity. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us this supplication, showing us the importance of seeking Allah's favor in every aspect of our lives, even in the transition from one place to another.

Narrated by Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'When one of you leaves the Masjid, let him say: Allahumma inni as'aluka min fadlik.'
