اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ.
O Allah, I ask You from Your Grace.
Allahumma inni as'aluka min fadlik.
When to Read
This dua is recited when leaving the Masjid after prayer or any other visit. It's a beautiful way to transition from the spiritual atmosphere of the mosque back into our daily lives, carrying the blessings of Allah with us.
How to Read
Recite this supplication once as you take your steps out of the Masjid. It is generally recommended to exit with the left foot after entering with the right, though this specific dua is not tied to that etiquette. The focus is on sincere asking from Allah's boundless grace.
Virtues & Benefits
This simple yet profound dua carries immense meaning. By asking for Allah's 'fadl' (grace, bounty, favor), we acknowledge that all good things come from Him. It reminds us that even after fulfilling our obligations in the Masjid, our continued success and well-being in this world and the next depend entirely on His mercy. This act also signifies humility and dependence on the Creator, even as we re-engage with worldly matters.

Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "When one of you enters my Masjid and my mosque, let him say: 'O Allah, open for me the doors of Your mercy,' and when he leaves, let him say: 'O Allah, I ask You from Your Grace.'"
