In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no might nor power except with Allah.

Ensure you are facing the direction of your travel or towards the Qiblah if possible, acknowledging that your journey begins and ends with Allah's will.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ promised immense blessings to the one who recites this dua upon leaving their home. It is narrated that when one says these words, it is said to them: 'You are guided, defended, and protected.' This dua is a powerful statement of tawakkul (reliance on Allah), acknowledging His power and our dependence on Him, especially crucial when undertaking a journey as significant as Hajj or Umrah.

Narrated Anas (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'When a person goes out of his house and says: Bismillah, tawakkaltu 'ala Allah, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah. It is said to him: You have been sufficed and protected and saved. The devil is turned away from him.' This is the narration of Abu Dawud and it is Sahih. (Also found in Sahih Muslim 134.b and Tirmidhi 3407).
