بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ، وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ.

This dua is a powerful statement of reliance on Allah. When you say this, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ mentioned that you will be told: 'You are guided, you are sufficient for yourself, and you are protected.' The devils will then turn away from you, and one devil will say: 'How can you get to a person whom he has guided, is sufficient for himself, and is protected?' This protects you from misguidance, inner anxieties, and external harm as you make your way to worship Him.

Narrated Anas: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "When a person goes out of his house and says: 'Bismillahi, tawakkaltu 'alallahi, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah' (In the name of Allah, I rely on Allah, and there is no power and no might but with Allah), it will be said to him: 'You are guided, defended and your needs are met.' So, the devil will fall away from him. Then another devil will say: 'How can you get to a person whom he has been guided, defended and his needs met?'" (Sunan Abi Dawud 5095, graded Sahih by Al-Albani). This hadith is also recorded in Sahih Muslim.
