How to Read
As you prepare to leave your home for your new professional pursuit, stand at the doorway. Take a moment to gather your thoughts and intentions. Then, recite this dua sincerely, seeking Allah's help and guidance. It's recommended to say 'Bismillahi' (In the name of Allah) as you take your first step out of the house, signifying that your journey begins under His protection and blessing.
Virtues & Benefits
Reciting this dua before embarking on any significant undertaking, like starting a new profession, offers immense protection and blessings. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: 'When a person says: 'Bismillahi, tawakkaltu 'alallahi, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah' (In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no might nor power except with Allah), it is said to him: 'You have been guided, defended, and your need is fulfilled.' Then the devil moves away from him and says to another devil: 'How can you deal with a man who has been guided, defended, and his need is fulfilled?' (Sunan Abi Dawud 5095, graded Hasan). This means Allah assigns angels to guide, protect, and suffice you, warding off any evil influence or obstacles.
