بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ، وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ.

In the name of Allah, I trust in Allah. There is no might nor power except with Allah.

Bismillah, tawakkaltu 'alallah, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah.

Virtues & Benefits

Reciting this dua upon leaving home offers protection and is a means of guidance from Allah. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ informed his companion Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that when a person says this, it is said to him: 'You have been guided, you are taken care of, and you are protected.' This means you will be protected from all evils and guided to your destination, both in this world and the Hereafter.

Source & Authentication

Narrated Anas: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'When a person leaves his house and says: 'Bismillah, tawakkaltu 'alallah, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah,' it will be said to him: 'You are guided, you are taken care of, and you are protected.' The devil will stay away from him.' And one of the devils says to another: 'How can you get to a person who has been guided, taken care of, and protected?'
