بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ، وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ
In the name of Allah, I rely on Allah. There is no power nor strength except with Allah.
Bismillahi, tawakkaltu 'alallah, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah
When to Read
This is the profound dua the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us to recite when leaving our homes, whether it's for work, a community project, visiting family, or any endeavor outside our dwelling. It's particularly fitting as you head out to contribute to a community project, acknowledging that all strength and success come from Allah.
How to Read
Recite this with sincerity and full reliance on Allah. As you step out of your door, utter these words with a heart that understands their meaning. It's not just a verbal utterance, but a declaration of dependence on the Creator for safety, guidance, and success in your journey and your purpose.
Virtues & Benefits
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that when a person recites this dua upon leaving their home, it is said to them: 'You are guided, you are defended, and you are protected.' The Shaytan (Satan) moves away from them, and another Shaytan says: 'How can you deal with a man who has been guided, defended, and protected?' This offers immense protection and guidance for your journey and the undertaking of your community project.

Narrated Anas: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'When a man leaves his house and says: 'Bismillahi, tawakkaltu 'alallah, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah,' it is said to him: 'You have been sufficed, defended and guided.' So the devil leaves him alone.' (Sunan Abi Dawud 5095).
