اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِنِي لِمَا اخْتُلِفَ فِيهِ مِنَ الْحَقِّ بِإِذْنِكَ إِنَّكَ تَهْدِي مَنْ تَشَاءُ إِلَى صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ
O Allah, guide me to the truth in that over which people differ, by Your permission. Indeed, You guide whom You will to a straight path.

It was narrated from Abu Nadhrah that Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) said to him: 'Do you know about the verse: "O you who have been given the Book! Believe in what We have revealed from on high, confirming what you already possess, and do not be the first to disbelieve in it. Do not barter away My revelations for a paltry price, but fear Me alone." (Al-Baqarah 2:41) I said: 'Yes.' He said: 'It was revealed concerning the People of the Book.' Then he recited: "O you who have been given the Book! Believe in what We have revealed from on high, confirming what you already possess, and do not be the first to disbelieve in it. Do not barter away My revelations for a paltry price, but fear Me alone." (Al-Baqarah 2:41). He said: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked: 'Which of us recite the Quran, but does not understand it?' He said: 'This is the verse which was revealed concerning them: "O Allah, guide me to the truth in that over which people differ, by Your permission. Indeed, You guide whom You will to a straight path." (Al-Baqarah 2:41)'
