اللَّهُمَّ عَلِّمْنِي الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَافْقَهْنِي فِي الدِّينِ
O Allah, teach me the Book and wisdom, and make me understand the religion.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said to Ibn Abbas, 'O son of my uncle, indeed I will teach you some words. Protect Allah, and Allah will protect you. Protect Allah, and you will find Him before you. When you ask, ask Allah. When you seek help, seek help from Allah. Know that if the creation were to unite to benefit you with something, they could not benefit you except with something that Allah had already decreed for you. And if they were to unite to harm you with something, they could not harm you except with something that Allah had already decreed for you. The pens have been lifted, and the pages have dried. And know that what was meant for you will reach you, and what was meant for you will not reach you.' Then Ibn Abbas said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I will say this: O Allah, teach me the Book and wisdom, and make me understand the religion.' He said: 'Yes, O son of my uncle. I shall certainly teach you the words of knowledge.' He said: 'O Allah, teach me the Book and wisdom, and make me understand the religion.'
