Virtues & Benefits

This powerful dua, taught by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) when he complained about forgetting, encapsulates a profound request for divine insight. 'Futuḥ al-'ārifīn' refers to the 'openings' or 'conquests' of those who possess true knowledge and understanding. Reciting this seeks Allah's grace to grant you that same level of intuitive understanding and the ability to express it clearly, cutting through complexity to reveal its essence. It helps overcome mental blocks, enhances comprehension, and fosters eloquence, enabling you to share knowledge effectively.

Source & Authentication

Narrated Abu Hurayrah: I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, I hear many hadiths from you but I forget them.' He said: 'Stretch out your cloak.' So he stretched it out. He said: 'Gather it to your chest.' I did so, and from that day I did not forget anything. And this supplication: 'O Allah, open upon me the openings of those who know.'
