How to Read

Recite this sincerely with focus on its meaning. It's a comprehensive request that covers the holistic pursuit of knowledge and righteous action. It's best recited after Fajr prayer, as this time is considered blessed for seeking knowledge and sustenance. Maintain a state of purity (wudu) if possible, and face the Qiblah as a sign of respect when making earnest supplications.

Virtues & Benefits

This powerful dua encompasses three vital requests: beneficial knowledge ('ilman nafi'an), pure and lawful sustenance (rizqan tayyiban), and deeds that are accepted by Allah (amalan mutaqabbalan). Beneficial knowledge leads us to the truth and guides our actions. Pure sustenance keeps our bodies and souls healthy. Accepted deeds are those that are done sincerely for Allah's sake and in accordance with His commands. By asking for these three, we seek a balanced life that pleases our Creator and allows us to benefit ourselves, our families, and the wider community through our understanding and actions.
