The prayer of seeking guidance from Allah
O Allah, I seek Your guidance [in making a decision] with Your knowledge, and I seek [Your] ability with Your power, and I ask of Your great bounty. For indeed You have power, and I have no power; You have knowledge, and I have no knowledge; and You are the Knower of the unseen. O Allah, if You know that this matter (mention the matter: e.g., engaging with social media and its impact on my faith) is good for me in my religion, my life, and my [final] outcome - or he said: in this world and the hereafter - then ordain it for me, make it easy for me, and bless it for me. And if You know that this matter is bad for me in my religion, my life, and my [final] outcome - or he said: in this world and the hereafter - then turn it away from me and turn me away from it, and ordain for me the good wherever it may be, and make me content with it.
O Allah, I seek Your guidance through Your knowledge, and I seek ability through Your power, and I ask of Your magnificent grace. For indeed, You have power, and I have no power; You have knowledge, and I have no knowledge; and You are the Knower of the unseen. O Allah, if You know that this matter (name the matter) is good for me in my religion, my livelihood, and the outcome of my affairs โ or he said: in my present and future affairs โ then decree it for me, make it easy for me, and bless it for me. And if You know that this matter is bad for me in my religion, my livelihood, and the outcome of my affairs โ or he said: in my present and future affairs โ then turn it away from me, and turn me away from it, and decree for me that which is good wherever it may be, and make me satisfied with it. And if You know that this matter is a mixture of good and evil, then give me the choice.
O Allah, I seek Your guidance with Your knowledge, and I seek ability with Your power, and I ask of Your great bounty.
