اللَّهُمَّ اهْوِ لَنَا الأَرْضَ وَطْوَاهَا، وَسَهِّلْ عَلَيْنَا سَفَرَنَا هَذَا، وَاكْفِنَا غَوَائِلَ طَرِيقِنَا، وَقَرِّبْ عَلَيْنَا بُعْدَ مَسَافَتِنَا، وَازْوِ لَنَا الأَرْضَ، وَارْزُقْنَا فِيهِ بَذْلَ طَعَامِنَا وَشَرَابِنَا، وَاجْعَلْهُ حَجًّا مَبْرُورًا، وَسَعْيًا مَشْكُورًا، وَذَنْبًا مَغْفُورًا. اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ وَعْثَاءِ السَّفَرِ، وَكَآبَةِ المُنْقَلَبِ، وَسُوءِ المَنْظَرِ فِي الأَهْلِ وَالمَالِ وَالوَلَدِ. اللَّهُمَّ أَعِنَّا عَلَى أَدَاءِ مَنَاسِكِنَا، وَتَقَبَّلْ مِنَّا حَجَّنَا، وَاجْعَلْهُ لَوْجْهٍكَ خَالِصًا، وَلِجَنَّتِكَ سَبِيلاً، وَلِعِتْقِنَا مِنْ النَّارِ سَبِيلاً. اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ التَّوْبَةَ، وَاليَسَارَ، وَالعَافِيَةَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ. رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ.
O Allah, make the earth easy for us and its vastness, and make our journey easy, and protect us from the hardships of our path, and bring its distance closer to us, and roll up the earth for us. Grant us in it ease with our food and drink, and make it a Hajj accepted, and a striving appreciated, and a sin forgiven. O Allah, we seek refuge in You from the difficulties of travel, and the gloom of returning, and the evil of seeing our family, wealth, and children in a bad state. O Allah, help us to perform our rituals, and accept our Hajj, and make it purely for Your Face, and a path to Your Paradise, and a way for our freedom from the Fire. O Allah, we ask You for repentance, ease, and well-being in this world and the Hereafter. Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.
Allahumma ahwi lana al-arda wa-tawha-ha, wa sahhil 'alayna safarana hadha, wakfina ghawa'ila tareeqina, wa qarrab 'alayna bu'da masafatuna, wa-zwi lana al-ard, warzuqna fihi badhla ta'amina wa sharabina, waj'alhu hajjan mabrooran, wa sa'yan mashkooran, wa dhanban maghfooran. Allahumma inna na'udhu bika min wa'tha'is-safari, wa ka'abatil-munqalabi, wa soo'il-manthari fil-ahli wal-mali wal-walad. Allahumma a'inna 'ala ada'i manasikina, wa taqabbal minna hajjan, waj'alhu li-wajhika khalisan, wa li-jannatika sabeelan, wa li-'itqinā min an-nari sabeelan. Allahumma inna nas'aluk at-tawbah, wal-yusar, wal-'afiyah fid-dunya wal-akhirah. Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanah, wa fil-akhirati hasanah, wa qina 'adhaban-nar.
When to Read
This dua should be recited when the pilgrim sets off from their home for Hajj. It's also suitable for anyone embarking on a significant journey, especially one for worship, and can be adapted for those performing Hajj al-Badal (Hajj on behalf of another).
How to Read
Recite with sincerity and a clear intention. Face the Qiblah if possible, raise your hands in supplication, and reflect deeply on the words. For Hajj al-Badal, the intention should be clearly made for the person on whose behalf the Hajj is being performed.
