اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْفِرْدَوْسَ الأَعْلَى مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ

O Allah, I ask You for the Highest Paradise (Al-Firdaws).

Allahumma inni as'alukal-Firdaws al-a'la minal-jannah

When to Read

This is a profound supplication to make after completing the sacred rites of Hajj or Umrah. As you transition back to your daily life, carrying the spiritual weight and blessings of these journeys, this dua is a powerful way to anchor your intentions and seek the ultimate reward. Make it a personal plea to Allah as you offer your final supplications during your pilgrimage or immediately upon returning home, reflecting on the immense mercy you have experienced.

How to Read

Recite this dua with sincerity and deep conviction. Focus on the meaning of Al-Firdaws, the highest level of Jannah, which encompasses all blessings and pleasures. Imagine yourself in that elevated state, feeling the immense grace of Allah. Raise your hands in supplication, as was the practice of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and make this a heartfelt request. It's a personal conversation with your Creator, expressing your ultimate hope and aspiration.

Virtues & Benefits

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught this specific dua for seeking Al-Firdaws. In another narration, he mentioned that Al-Firdaws is the highest part of Paradise, and from it spring the rivers of Paradise (Sahih al-Bukhari 4324). By asking for it, you are aiming for the pinnacle of divine reward, a state of absolute bliss and closeness to Allah. Hajj and Umrah are immense acts of worship that purify the believer; this dua ensures that the aspiration remains focused on the ultimate destination, as mentioned by the Prophet ﷺ: 'And the Hajj Mabroor (accepted Hajj) has no reward except Paradise' (Sahih al-Bukhari 1773).

Source & Authentication

Narrated Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him): Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "When anyone of you prays for requesting, he should ask for Al-Firdaws, the central and highest part of Paradise, and the Throne of the Most Gracious (Ar-Rahman) is above it, and from it rivers of Paradise originate." Sahih al-Bukhari 7423.
