When to Read

This beautiful dua is recited when bidding farewell to someone embarking on a journey, particularly a spiritual and weighty one like Hajj. It is highly appropriate to recite for someone who is going to perform Hajj, whether it is for themselves or on behalf of another (Hajj al-Badal). You say this to the person who is departing.

How to Read

Recite this supplication with sincerity and love as you see off a brother or sister who is about to undertake Hajj. Your heartfelt dua can bring immense comfort and blessings to the departing pilgrim, reminding them of the spiritual essence of their journey and your support for them.

Virtues & Benefits

By making this dua, you are asking Allah to grant the pilgrim the best provisions for their journey – both spiritual and physical. 'Taqwa' (piety) is the ultimate provision for the Hereafter, and seeking forgiveness for their sins, along with ease in all their affairs, are profound blessings for anyone performing Hajj. For a person performing Hajj on behalf of another, these supplications ensure their journey is blessed, their efforts are accepted, and the proxy Hajj is completed with ease and Allah's pleasure, benefiting both the performer and the one for whom it is being performed.
