Source & Authentication
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) taught them this du'a as he taught them a surah from the Qur'an: 'Allahumma 'allimni al-kitaba wal-hikmata, wa anzil 'alayya barakatika, wasqini min ka'si nabiyyika sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallama ka'san tayyibatan ghaziratan.' (O Allah, teach me the Book and wisdom, and bestow Your blessings upon me, and let me drink from the cup of Your Prophet, peace be upon him, a cup that is good and abundant.)
