O Allah, make me one who is grateful to You, eager in Your remembrance, obedient to You, contrite and turning to You. Make me love You, and love those who love You, and love the deeds which bring me closer to You. Make Your remembrance my occupation, and protect me from the evil of my soul, and from the evil of every creature You are seizing by the forelock. Protect me from all evil, and from the evil of all people. Indeed, my Lord is on a straight path.
Allahumma'jalni shakirun laka, tawwaqan ila dhikrik, muti'an laka, wa awwahan, muniban, waj'alni uhibbuka, wa uhibbu man yuhibbuka, wa uhibbu 'amala aqrab 'amalin yuqarribuni ilayk, waj'al dhikraka shaghili, wa a'idhni min sharri nafsi, wa min sharri kulli dabbatin anta akhidhun binasiyatiha, wa min sharri kulli su', wa min sharri al-qawm, inna Rabbi 'ala siratin mustaqim.
