O Allah, I ask You to provide me with lawful, good, and abundant sustenance, and to set right the relationship between us, and to guide us to the paths of peace, and to bring us forth from darkness into the light, and to keep us away from shameful deeds, both apparent and hidden, and to bless our hearing, our sight, our hearts, our spouses, and our offspring, and to accept our repentance. Indeed, You are the Ever-Relenting, the Most Merciful.
Allahumma inni as'aluka an tarzuqani rizqan halalan tayyiban wasi'an, wa an tusliha dzaata baynina, wa an tahdiya subulas-salam, wa an tukhrijana minadh-dhulumati ilan-nur, wa an tujannibana al-fawāḥisha ma ẓahara minha wa ma baṭana, wa an tubarika lana fi asma'ina wa abṣārina wa qulubina wa azwajina wa dhurriyyatina, wa an tatuba 'alayna, innaka Antat-Tawwabur-Raḥim.

Virtues & Benefits
This dua encompasses multiple aspects of a Muslim’s life, including seeking lawful provision and purification from sin. The specific request for Allah to 'set right the relationship between us' directly addresses the importance of maintaining kinship ties, which is a highly emphasized aspect of Islam. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: 'Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him maintain the ties of kinship.' (Sahih al-Bukhari 5972). This dua aligns with that principle, seeking Allah's help in fulfilling this important obligation.
Source & Authentication
Umm Salamah asked the Prophet (ﷺ) about the verse: 'And those who join that which Allah has commanded to be joined...' (13:21). She said: 'What does this mean?' He said: 'It means the ties of kinship which are to be maintained. If they are severed, they will be severed from Allah.' Then he recited the verse: 'And those who break the covenant of Allah after its confirmation and cut that which Allah has commanded to be joined...' (13:25). He recited this verse for both the breaker of the covenant and the one who cuts the ties of kinship.
