Good Character
Hasan HadithSunan Abi Dawud 1505

O Allah, make me grateful to You, ever-returning to You, and little in myself for Your sake, and for You, and towards You. And grant me success concerning myself, and reform all my affairs. There is no god but You.

It fosters a state of constant gratitude (shukr) and repentance (tawbah), keeping you grounded and connected to your Lord, ensuring that worldly achievements do not distance you from Him.

Source & Authentication

It was narrated from Abu Bakrah that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to say at the end of his prayer: 'O Allah, I seek refuge in You from disbelief and poverty. And I seek refuge in You from the torment of the grave. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the Dajjal.' He said: 'And from these words, which were taught to him by Jibril: O Allah, make me grateful to You, ever-returning to You, and little in myself for Your sake, and for You, and towards You. And grant me success concerning myself, and reform all my affairs. There is no god but You.'
