The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, 'Whoever sits in a gathering and his talk becomes excessive, and he says before he leaves the meeting: 'Glory be to You, O Allah, and praise be to You. I bear witness that there is no god but You. I seek Your forgiveness and I turn to You in repentance,' then it will be an expiation for what occurred in his meeting.' (Sahih al-Bukhari 6306). It ensures that our good deeds and gatherings are not marred by unintentional errors, and that our efforts are accepted by Allah.
