بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing on earth or in heaven can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ stated, 'Whoever says this three times in the morning will not be afflicted by any calamity until the evening, and whoever says it three times in the evening will not be afflicted by any calamity until the morning.' (Sunan Abi Dawud 3866). This protection extends to physical, spiritual, and emotional harm, safeguarding us from the unseen ills that might arise from a gathering, such as envy or ill wishes.

‘Uthman ibn ‘Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'He who says: (Bismillahil-ladhi la yadurru ma'asmihi shay'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i wa huwas-Samee'ul-'Aleem) three times every morning, he will not be afflicted by sudden calamity until the morning, and he who says it three times in the evening, he will not be afflicted by sudden calamity until the morning.' — Sunan Abi Dawud 3866, also found in Sunan Ibn Majah 3869 and classified as Sahih by Al-Albani.
