اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِنَا لِمَا اخْتُلِفَ فِيهِ مِنَ الْحَقِّ بِإِذْنِكَ إِنَّكَ تَهْدِي مَنْ تَشَاءُ إِلَى صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ
O Allah, guide us to the truth concerning that in which there is disagreement, by Your permission. Indeed, You guide whom You will to a straight path.
Allahumma ihdina limakhtulifa feehi minal-haqqi bi idhnika, innaka tahdi man tasha'u ila siratin mustaqeem.

Narrated by Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her): The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to supplicate: 'O Allah, reform my religion for me, which is the safeguard of my affairs; reform my worldly life for me, in which is my livelihood; and make my life a continuation [of goodness] for me and my death a rest from every evil. O Allah, I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity, and self-sufficiency.' He also used to supplicate: 'O Allah, guide us to the best of actions and the best of characters, and guard us from evil in all affairs.' He also used to supplicate: 'O Allah, I ask You for the good of this Ummah, its guidance and its success, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of the arrogant and from the trials that lead astray.' He also used to supplicate: 'O Allah, guide us to the best of actions and the best of characters, and let us do deeds as the doers of good [would do].' Another narration, also from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), states: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to supplicate: 'O Allah, guide us to the best of actions and the best of characters, and keep us away from evil in all our affairs.' In another context, when seeking guidance in matters of difference, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught supplications like: 'O Allah, guide us to what is right with Your permission, for You guide whomever You will to a straight path.' (Sahih Muslim 770).
