โœฆ

Glory be to You, O Allah, and praise be to You. I bear witness that there is no god but You. I seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance.

How to Read

Recite this dua sincerely after concluding your gathering. Make a conscious effort to reflect on its meaning. It's a beautiful way to end any interaction, seeking Allahโ€™s acceptance and pardon for any unintentional mistakes.

Virtues & Benefits

This dua, often referred to as the 'Dua al-Kaffarah' (Expiation of the Gathering), purifies the gathering from any idle talk, vain speech, or inadvertent sins that may have occurred. It ensures that what was discussed or learned is received with Allah's blessing and brings you closer to Jannah, rather than being a cause for regret.

Source & Authentication

โ€˜Aaโ€™ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) never sat in a gathering, nor recited anything, nor did he do anything except that he would conclude it with these words. โ€˜Aaโ€™ishah said: I said: O Messenger of Allah, I have never sat in a gathering, nor recited anything, nor did I do anything except that I would conclude it with these words. He said: Yes. Whoever is good, it will be a seal for what he did in his good deeds; and if he said something bad, it will be an expiation for him for what he said in his gathering.
