O Allah, make the day of Jumu'ah a festival and a source of happiness for us, and forgive us, our parents, our children, and all Muslim men and women, and believing men and women, by Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful.

Allahumma ij'al yawm al-Jumu'ati lana 'idan wa sa'adatan, waghfir lana wa liwalidayna wa li'awladina wa li jami' al-muslimeen wal-muslimat wal-mu'mineen wal-mu'minat, birahmatika ya Arham ar-Rahimeen.

When to Read

This dua is particularly potent when recited after the Jumu'ah prayer, or at any time on the blessed day of Jumu'ah. Many choose to recite it after the obligatory Jumu'ah salah, seeking Allah's acceptance of their worship and asking for His boundless mercy for themselves and their loved ones.

How to Read

Recite with sincerity and a hopeful heart, facing the Qiblah if possible after your prayer. Raise your hands in supplication, seeking Allah's grace. Reflect on the meaning of the words and ask for the blessings of this special day to encompass you and your entire family and the Ummah.
