اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّيْ اَسْاَلُكَ رِزْقًا طَيِّبًا وَّعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا
O Allah, I ask You for pure provision and accepted deeds.
Allahumma inni as'aluka rizqan tayyiban wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan
When to Read
This is a comprehensive dua that can be recited any time, but it's particularly fitting after the Jumu'ah prayer. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ would often engage in dua after completing his prayers, seeking Allah's blessings for pure sustenance and the acceptance of his efforts. Making it a habit after Jumu'ah connects us to this beautiful practice and reinforces our intention for the rest of the week.
How to Read
Recite this dua with sincerity and a present heart. Raise your hands as you would during supplication, facing the Qiblah if possible. Reflect on the meaning of 'pure provision' – that which is lawful, beneficial, and brings ease – and 'accepted deeds' – those actions that please Allah and are rewarded. Believe in Allah's ability to grant your request.
Virtues & Benefits
This dua encompasses two vital aspects of a believer's life: livelihood and worship. Asking for 'rizqan tayyiban' (pure provision) ensures that what we receive is not only sufficient but also lawful and beneficial, avoiding any hardship or sin associated with it. Asking for 'amalan mutaqabbalan' (accepted deeds) is the ultimate goal of any act of worship or good deed. It means our prayers, charity, remembrance, and all our efforts are acknowledged and rewarded by Allah. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ himself taught this dua, indicating its immense importance and the comprehensive blessings it holds.

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, 'No one gets up in the morning and says: "*La ilaha illallah, wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir*" (There is no god but Allah, alone without partner, His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is able to do all things), and it is established for him as equivalent to freeing ten slaves, and it results in ten good deeds being recorded for him, and ten evil deeds being wiped out from him, and it is a protection for him from Satan for the day until night, and no one does better than such a deed except one who does more than that.' Then Abu Huraira mentioned the same thing again. And Allah's Messenger ﷺ said: 'And if one says: "*Subhan Allahi wa bihamdihi*" (Glory be to Allah and praise be to Him), one hundred times in a day, his sins are wiped out even if they were like the foam of the sea.' And he also said: 'The one who says: *"Allahumma inni as'aluka rizqan tayyiban wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan"* (O Allah, I ask You for pure provision and accepted deeds) in the morning, if he dies on that day, he will enter Paradise, and if he dies at night, he will enter Paradise.'
