Narrated Tariq bin Ashyam: I said to my father: 'O father! You pray behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his companions, so you must have learned from them.' He said: 'I pray behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and I learned from his saying: "O Allah, forgive me, have mercy upon me, guide me, and grant me well-being and suffice me." Tariq said: 'I found it difficult to bear (this sentence), and I said to my father: "O father, how has Allah sufficed him by saying this?" My father said: 'Indeed, when Allah grants his slave well-being in his body, He suffices him in his sustenance, and He gives him a contented heart.'
