يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِي عَلَى دِينِكَ
O Changer of the hearts, make my heart firm upon Your religion.
Yaa Muqallibal-quloob, thabbit qalbi 'alaa deenik.
When to Read
The Prophet ﷺ used to recite this profound dua frequently, reminding us that our hearts are ever in Allah's Hands. This isn't a dua for a specific moment, but rather a constant plea we should weave into our daily supplications. Turn to it especially during times of uncertainty, when doubts stir, or when you witness the moral landscape shifting around you. It's a prayer for every Muslim who fears straying from the straight path, who earnestly desires their faith to remain firm until their last breath. Make it a regular part of your daily remembrance, perhaps after your obligatory prayers or whenever you feel the need to re-anchor your heart to the truth.
How to Read
Like all supplications, recite this dua with sincerity, full conviction, and a heart present with Allah. Understand the profound request you are making: for the ultimate Controller of hearts to keep yours steadfast on His religion. You can repeat it multiple times, reflect deeply on its meaning, and allow it to deepen your reliance on Allah. It is commendable to raise your hands in humility, expressing your absolute need for His divine protection.
Virtues & Benefits
This dua serves as a powerful shield against misguidance and deviation. By asking Allah, the **Changer of Hearts** (Al-Muqallib al-Quloob), to keep your heart firm on His religion, you are acknowledging His absolute sovereignty and your complete dependence on Him. The Prophet ﷺ himself taught us this dua, emphasizing the ever-present reality that hearts can waver, even among believers. Reciting this supplication strengthens your bond with Allah, reinforces your commitment to the principles of Islam, and acts as a continuous plea for divine safeguarding from the whispers of Shaytan, the allure of falsehoods, and the shifting tides of worldly opinions. It cultivates **tawakkul** (reliance) and **yaqeen** (certainty) in your faith, granting you tranquility amidst life's trials.

Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: 'The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to say, 'O Changer of the hearts, make my heart firm upon Your religion.' I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, we believe in you and in what you have brought. Do you fear for us?' He said, 'Yes, for the hearts are between two fingers of Allah's fingers, He turns them as He wills.'
