O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the disappearance of Your blessings, and the reversal of the wellness You granted, and the suddenness of Your punishment, and all that displeases You. And I seek refuge in You from the evil characteristics, deeds, and desires.
Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min zawali ni'matik, wa tahawwuli 'afiyatik, wa fu'j'ati niqmatik, wa jami'i sakhatik, wa a'udhu bika min munkaratil akhlaqi wal a'mal wal ahwa'

Virtues & Benefits
This dua offers profound protection against spiritual and practical misguidance. By seeking refuge from the 'reversal of wellness' and 'all that displeases You,' you are asking Allah to keep you steadfast on the straight path. The specific mention of seeking refuge from 'evil characteristics, deeds, and desires' directly addresses the root causes of deviation, including falling into innovation (bid'ah), which often stems from misplaced desires and a lack of adherence to the Prophetic example. This protects one's faith, actions, and character from becoming corrupted.
Source & Authentication
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to seek refuge with Allah from the evil of what he had created, from the evil of every walking creature that He seized by its forelock. He sought refuge with Allah from the evil of the cursed Satan, and from his temptations, and from his poetry, and from his slander. He used to seek refuge with Allah from the evil of the world and the evil of the Hereafter. He said: 'O Allah, I ask You for the good of this world and the good of the Hereafter, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of this world and the evil of the Hereafter.' And he used to say: 'O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the disappearance of Your blessings, and the reversal of the wellness You granted, and the suddenness of Your punishment, and all that displeases You.'
