أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ غَضَبِهِ وَعِقَابِهِ، وَشَرِّ عِبَادِهِ، وَمِنْ هَمَزَاتِ الشَّيَاطِينِ وَأَنْ يَحْضُرُونِ.
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His anger and His punishment, and from the evil of His servants, and from the whisperings of the devils and from their presence.

Narrated by Abdullah bin Khubaib (may Allah be pleased with him): We went out on a very dark and rainy night, looking for the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) to ask him to lead us in prayer. I found him and he said: "Pray." I prayed but he did not command me to do so. When I finished, he said: "I did not say pray." Then he said: "Tell me." I said: "What should I say, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "Say: > **Arabic:** قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ وَالْمُعَوِّذَتَيْنِ > **Translation:** Say: 'He is Allah, the One,' and the two Chapters of Seeking Refuge (Al-Falaq and An-Nas). > **Transliteration:** *Qul Huwallahu ahad wal-mu'awwidhatayn* Then he said: "Recite these three times in the morning and three times in the evening. They will suffice you against everything." Later, we went out with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) on a journey, and the night became dark, and the rain drizzled. We called out to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) to lead us in prayer. He said: "Here I am." We met him and he took my hand and said: "O Ibn Khubaib, tell me." I said: "What should I say, O Messenger of Allah?"
