O Allah, I seek refuge in You from knowledge that does not benefit, from a heart that does not fear [You], from a soul that is not satisfied, and from a prayer that is not answered. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from these four.
Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min 'ilmin la yanfa', wa min qalbin la yakhsha', wa min nafsin la tashba', wa min du'a'in la yusma', Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min ha'ula'il-arba'.

Virtues & Benefits
This powerful dua, taught by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to his companions, offers refuge from four destructive aspects: useless knowledge, a heart devoid of divine awe, an insatiable soul, and unanswered prayers. By seeking refuge from these, you strengthen your inner fortitude. Facing fear alone requires inner strength, and this dua cultivates that by purifying your intentions and seeking protection from internal weaknesses that can amplify external fears.
Source & Authentication
It was narrated from Zayd ibn Arqam that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'O Allah, I seek refuge in You from knowledge that does not benefit, and from a heart that does not fear [You], and from a soul that is not satisfied, and from a prayer that is not answered.' He said this four times. He also said: 'I seek refuge in You from these four.'
