In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing on earth or in the heavens can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
Bismillahil-ladhi la yadurru ma'asmihi shai'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i wa huwas-Samee'ul-Aleem.

Recite this dua three times in the evening. Say it with sincerity and conviction, knowing that Allah (SWT) is the ultimate protector. Visualize His protection enveloping you as you speak the words. It’s often coupled with other evening duas for comprehensive protection.
Virtues & Benefits
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ informed us that whoever recites this dua three times in the morning and three times in the evening will not be afflicted by any unexpected calamity. This directly combats feelings of unease and loneliness at night by assuring us of Allah's constant watch and care. It fosters a sense of peace and security, knowing we are shielded by the Most High. It reminds us that our strength and safety come from Allah alone, not from our own capabilities or the absence of others.
Source & Authentication
Narrated by Abu Darda: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: 'Whoever says in the morning 'Bismillahil-ladhi la yadurru ma'asmihi shai'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i wa huwas-Samee'ul-Aleem' (In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing on earth or in the heavens can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing) - seven times, he will not be afflicted by any calamity until the morning, and whoever says it seven times in the morning, he will not be afflicted by any calamity until the evening.' *Note: While the hadith mentions reciting seven times, this entry uses the widely practiced and also authenticated version of reciting three times, which is a more common application for evening protection. The core benefit of seeking Allah's name for protection remains.*
