بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
In the name of Allah, with Whose name nothing on earth or in heaven can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.

Narrated by Uthman ibn Affan (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever says: 'Bismillah alladhi la yadhurru ma'asmihi shay'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i wa huwas-Sami'ul-'Alim' (In the name of Allah, with Whose name nothing on earth or in the heaven can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing), three times, will not be smitten by sudden calamity until morning comes, and whoever says it in the morning three times, will not be smitten by sudden calamity until evening comes." (Sunan Abi Dawud 5088, Sahih; also found in Sahih al-Bukhari, Vol. 7, Book 71, Hadith 649).
