When to Read

Recite this dua just before entering the toilet or bathroom. It's a practice taught by our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to seek protection before entering a place that is known to be inhabited by jinn and shayatin.

How to Read

Say this dua with sincerity before you step inside. It's Sunnah to enter with the left foot and exit with the right foot, after reciting the dua for exiting the bathroom.

Virtues & Benefits

Seeking refuge in Allah protects us from the whispers and temptations of shayatin, and from any harm or impurity associated with such places. It's a beautiful example of how the Prophet ﷺ taught us to seek Allah's protection in all aspects of our lives, big or small. This simple act acknowledges Allah's dominion and our reliance on Him, even in the most private of moments.
