The Messenger of Allah ﷺ heard a man supplicating during his prayer: 'O Allah, I ask You, O Allah, You are the One God, the Self-Sufficient Master, Who was not begotten and begat not, and there is no one, equal to Him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'He has supplicated to Allah using His Greatest Name, with which when He is asked, He gives, and when He is called by it, He answers.' Another version narrated by Abu Dawud states that the Prophet ﷺ taught a man this dua to say in his prayer: 'Allahumma a'inni 'ala dhikrika, wa shukrika, wa husni 'ibadatika.'
